Yesterday 16/03/2013 I received a sms from MBDLC saying that an urgent payment on An Edufin loan is required. First of all, I have never had an edufin loan. This is the first ams from MBDLC I've received. I completed my studies in 2004 and I had a student loan with FNB which I paid off years ago. Secondly, this is the first time I've heard of edufin. I immediately called the number to enquire about this, and the operator said it was for something I studied in 2011. I did not enrol for anything in that year, nor receive money for it - like I said, yesterday was the first time I ever heard of Edufin, and now I'm being handed a legal notice? I expect this to be sorted out immediately. I saw on the internet that there are other people with the same problem - is some kind of identity happening??? Also, my mother received the same sms - and she finished university in the sixties and hasn't studied for anything else since. What is going on!!!
