I apparently owe in excess of R2000.00 for a TV licence that i never purchased!
I was first called approximately 6 months ago. I explained the situation, it was established that the only correct details on their system were my name, ID number and cellphone number (everything else was incorrect) and was asked to sign an affidavit to the same effect, which I did and sent through.
Today I get a message to call same company back with a reference number - which I do, and am told by the Call Centre Agent that the "affidavit means nothing", "it doesn't matter that the address and other details on the system are wrong" and I need to now resolve this query with the SABC. When I ask to speak to her supervisor, I am told that she is unable to transfer calls.
