The original debt amount was R 792.06 and a Default Judgement was obtained by the Barry Nortje Attorneys. We were told that the total amount after costs is approximately R 4200.00.We were informed by Francois Muller from Barry Nortje Attorneys that the amount owed and costs would be divided up into 12 monthly payments. This arrangement and telephonic discussion took place between Mandy Bellamy (My Wife) and Francois Muller an attorney at Barry Nortje Attorneys. The arrangement was accepted under duress by myself and on the basis that after 12 months the account would be settled in full. Francois Muller informed Mandy Bellamy that a small amount would be added to the agreed amount that would consist out of a 10% fee on the instalment every month as well as interest payable that would be calculated at 12.5%. I contacted Barry Nortje Attorneys after settling the amount over a period of 12 payments for a letter stating that my debt has been settled. I was informed that the original settlement amount does not matter and that we owe an additional amount of R 2491.53
