My Fiance was admitted for a partial lobotomy. The operating doctor performed the lobotomy from the front and the back and used two of the same procedure codes. When I received my statement from the medical aid it showed duplicate charge, the dr did a motivation letter to the medical aid and explained why two codes was used. It has been 9months and it is still not paid and no one the claims department can give me an answer to why it has not been paid. Every month the supervisor will phone me and the that the claim has been reprocessed. I don't want to be handed over for R10 000. I work in finance and it will reflect badly on my name. I hope that I can get an answer before this year ends!!!
