My name is Nondumiso khowa, student number 50437925. I am doing my PGCE at Unisa and this is my final year (or was suppose to be in this case). I registered for two modules namely PTEAC1X and SDMAT04 and was told to pay R410 to accompany the application for registration. I did that. My dad paid R510. This was on friday the 15th of March (final day for registration). Seeing that my registration was not successful and did not go through. I went there today 18th of March to enquire. This is when they told me i had to pay R570 and they can not help me because registration is closed. This is really sad as this was suppose to be my final year. For them to say they can not help me when they were at fault is uncalled for. I understand that the university has rules they have to abide by but this will cause an inconvenience as i am going to lose my job. I have all the proof in writing that i had to pay R410. I would be really happy if i get help. I am a single mother and next year i was going to get a full salary. I am really struggling. I can not afford to add another year to my studies. Thank u.
