I registered to do the first aid level one through Intec in March last year (2012). They were firstly late in sending my study materials I sent in my 3 assignments and passed well. Then I registered for the practical. No response for months. Eventually this year I get told I can do it but the nearest place is in Germiston and its a 3 day thing. In the study guide it said one day and they didn't tell me the nearest place is in the East Rand when I live in the West Rand. Information they did have. I could not do it in March this year as I could not take 3 days off of work. Again a few weeks of silence to do it in May. Got told it started at 8am and to be there 30mins before. Get to the venue and no-one knew anything about it but that there was classes but only started at 9am. When I wanted to cancel my course now, and accepting to not get the full course money back, I get told that when I signed up for the course it was a legally binding contract and that I could not cancel it. And that I should change my course or let some one else do the first aid. No-one wants to go through intec after my experience and I want to stop. Contracts can be cancelled if one party breeches it.
