1. On Sat 25th May '13 my Tenant, Steve, called AB Electrical and Plumbing due to the earth leakage tripping, this he did without my knowledge or consent. The registration number of the company is 2007/218569/23. Their electrician, Michael, misinformed the tenant that the DB had been installed in 1980 and has a 15 year life span, that it would need replacing and rewiring = R16, 000, or he could do a temporary solution by replacing the Earth Leakage and a circuit breaker = R4, 700. When Steve told me I got my electrician to do an inspection of the work done by them and discovered the following: They had replaced my Earth Leakage which had overload protection with a 60amp Earth Leakage without overload protection; they also fitted a 100amp circuit breaker to protect a 60amp Earth Leakage instead of installing a 60amp circuit breaker (this allows more than 60amps to flow through the elu and could cause the elu to burn due to no overload protection built in = fire hazard); they used a second hand elu and circuit breaker. AB electrical have broken all appointments, have been hostile since and now are ignoring us. I am in the process replacing their installation with the correct specs
