After doing my research into internal hard drives for NAS storage, I called PC Link Shop [URL Removed] and asked them if they had stock of the Seagate 4TB NAS HDD which was indicated on their website at a cost of R2, 270.00 each inclusive of VAT.
The sales person said that she would check stock and get back to me in 5 minutes. After 30 minutes, she called back and asked to confirm which HDD I was actually talking about. I gave her the model and she said she will call back in another 5 minutes. Again, after about 20 minutes this time, she called back and said that yes, they had stock but a new shipment had arrived and that the price had been increased... The cost of the hard drives was now R2, 425.00 each...
Seriously. That is just morally and ethically wrong. When a customer tells you what the advertised price is and asks if you have stock, then stick to the price they expect, don't shaft them because your inventory and supplier pricing has not been updated!! Safe to say I do not and will never endorse business from these people.
