A year and a half ago, I purchased a brand new HP ProBook 4530s. Of recent, the battery is no longer charging. I called HP, the stated that the battery was no longer in warranty. That is fine, I accept that the warranty is over. HOWEVER, their quote for a new battery... R3000, 00!!! That is literally half the price of what I paid for the entire notebook. I have a 4 year old entry level LENOVO which still works perfectly. One would assume that a Notebook of R8k should at least be decent and out perform the entry level Lenovo. I find it ludicrous that a manufacture would charge so much for just a battery that hasn't lasted at all when compared to cheaper inferior notebooks. So in future, DO NOT PURCHASE HP PRODUCTS. They will RIP you off!
