My Vostro is still well within the 3 year NBD warranty and I was 'batted' outright today when I was finally able to get through to the call centre. The AC Adapter is literally short circuiting (I can see sparks sometimes) and I'm worried that it might do damage to the machine. Furthermore it interrupts the power supply to the machine itself from time to time also.
I was told today that this is a wear and tear issue which ordinarily I could understand if it wasn't for the fact that the wires have been slightly exposed from about 5 or 6 months since I bought it, and because this has never happened to me before in all the years I've owned and/or used a Dell. I've always been very careful with my machines.
I have been a Dell user for some 13 years or so, and I have NEVER had this problem before. I don't accept that the Manufacturer won't take responsibility for this all considered.
