As stressful as an accident is, if a panel beater takes 4 months to repair a vehicle, and still can't do the necessary safety checks on the vehicle before releasing it, it sure leaves the customer with a lot to be desired. The vehicle was released yesterday, and this morning my wife started her voyage to Newcastle. On the way, she had to come to a stop due to the amount of mist reducing visibility, only to realise that the brakes had absolutely no pressure. Luckily I work on her way to Newcastle. She stopped in at my office and i noticed the amount of brake fluid that was leaking from the rear left wheel. Once we removed the wheel, we noticed that the brake fluid pipe had a hole in it where all the fluid was escaping. This negligence not only inconveniences us, but could have cost my wife and 2 year old child their lives. Would the panel beater then only realise that they were in the wrong? This is also after a month of empty promises for when we were to receive our vehicle. The service received (telephone calls and feedback included) was appalling and i never once felt peace of mind in the entire experience.
