TOOK OUR VW POLO IN FOR REPLACEMENT OF WATERPUMP, THERMOSTAT, TEMP SWITCH AND CONNECT 2 WIRES FROM RADIATOR TO REPLACED SWITCH. ALL PARTS WERE SUPPLIED BY OURSELVES IT WAS JUST TO BE FITTED SO A CHARGE FOR THE LABOUR WAS APPLICABLE. ALSO A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS TO BE RUN AND A QUOTE FOR THE REPAIR OF THE ACCELARATOR NOT WORKING WAS TO BE GIVEN TO US THE SAME DAY. ARRIVED AT 5PM TO COLLECT CAR WERE TOLD NO WAY CAR COULD DRIVEN AS GASKET BLOWN. FIRST TIME ITS MENTIONED 4-30PM THE DAY THE CAR WAS TO BE COLLECTED. SO WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE CAR THERE TILL MONDAY AND GET QUOTE FROM GREEN LINE AUTO FOR ACCELARATOR AND GASKET.BY WEDNESDAY FOLLOWING WEEK NOT EVEN A QUOTE BUT A SMS ADVISING OF NEW BALANCE ON MONIES DUE WHICH SUDENLY WAS R1772 LABOUR R2300 STORAGE FEE SO BANG TOTAL DUE R4000 FOR 75 MIN LABOUR. WE HAD SET ASIDE R1250 AS WE WERE TOLD THAT SHOULD BE MAX CHARGE FOR LABOUR DONE. SUDDENLY NO EXTRA WORK HAS BEEN DONE BUT WE GOTTA PAY R2750 MORE. PAY OR NO CAR THEY SAY. THEY GOT US TO LEAVE CAR THERE FOR FITMENT OF PARTS WITH ALL SMILES AND STATING THAT ITS A SIMPLE JOB TAKING NO MORE THAT 1HOUR 30 MIN AND QUOTES FOR OTHER WORK NEEDED WOULD BE DONE. BILL NOW R20000 OR NO CAR!
