I purchased a car privately in Nov 2012. After I received my registration paper in Dec, I took the relevant docs to Dekra Centurion for licensing. Joan helped & told me that she will try & get this in before the licensing dept closes for the holiday period, if not it will be done in early Jan 2013, I must just be patient, I also paid in advance. She asked if it was urgent I said no, my car's license only expires end of Jan 2013. She said I will have it before then. I have made a courtesy call on the 24th of Jan 2013 to find out the progress only to find out that it was not send in yet. At first she couldn't find my docs & said she will call me back. She only phoned the next day apologising she found the docs & will make sure that it will be done the next day. I have phoned again in the beg. of Feb2013 only to find out still it has not been send in & again she promised me she will assure that this gets done ASAP & I am still in my 21day after expiry. Today I received a call from Dekra asking me to bring proof of Residence to them because the license department does not want to accept my OLD proof. When handed in at the time it was not old proof. I will now be fined for late licensing
