I would like to tell anyone who is leaving South Africa and is thinking of using Execu move not to use them. I had my house contents shipped to Australia using Execu move and I’ve just finished going through everything and found stuff missing which I bet was gone before my stuff left the country. My fridge was damaged by Execu move before it left my front gate we were told they would take R1000 off our total because they damaged the fridge we never saw this discount.
I had a media player with an internal hard drive stolen worth R4000, LG external hard drive stolen worth R1000, Blueray dvd player stolen worth R3000. We did not take out full insurance as they assured us nothing ever goes missing so we took total loss insurance.
We were told by Execu move that when our stuff was stored in there warehouse it would be stacked on pallets which was not the case as I watched them pack the container from there warehouse and it was stacked on a concrete floor for more than a month, I turned a box over to re tape it and I saw moisture inside the bubble wrap so moisture was inside our boxes before it was put inside the container. Our fridge was damaged from them dropping it going down our front stairs in SA, our bed head was broken on the day they packed the container which they fixed but I had to get fixed over this side again, they dropped a box which had a pump in it when they loaded the container which I had to throw away this side because it was beyond repair, 2 fishing rods were damaged as they wrapped them in with heavy steel rods, my daughters tea set was destroyed as they packed it in with heavy engine parts, 1 mirror was broken because they were not created in wood which we paid for, 2 light fittings were broken because again they packed it in with workshop machines and an overlocker sowing machine was broken beyond repair because again they packed it in with a 30kg workshop vice. The total loss was around R23000 for the things stolen and all the damaged goods that were beyond repair. DO NOT USE EXECU MOVE.
