BEWARE of this privately owner and operated service / repair center, they claim to be Merc specialists but my recent experience tells me otherwise. My VITO 112CDI developed a clutch problem and because of their close proximity to my home I took the van to Motospot instead of the usual official merc service agent in Montague Gardens. When I dropped the van off I told them very clearly to check the clutch master cylinder and hydraulics BEFORE taking the gearbox off and tackling the clutch. Soon after the work began Rudi called me and told me he had the gearbox taken out and the clutch needed replacement. I again warned him that I wanted the master cylinder and hydraulics checked first but he insisted the clutch needed replacement. It then took almost two weeks to get spares and replace the clutch AND, the day after I received the van back THE CLUTCH FAILED AGAIN JUST LIKE BEFORE. I then consulted other specialists who indicated that the clutch fluid may be the problem and not the clutch, the fluid may be old, have absorbed water and could boil causing air locks in the hydraulic system. Motospot did not even replace the fluid when they replaced the clutch!!
