Had number plates made for my wife's car in March 2013. Asked if they'd pop-rivet them on to the car, and they said "no problem". Recently I had cause to review the R590 charged, and found this to be excessive. When confronting them, they said that they had charged R200 to fit the number plates. Three problems: 1. at no stage did they mention a R200 charge for the fitting 2. It takes 4 plastic rivets and 2 minutes to fit the plates, so I didn't even think there would be a charge 3. When I phoned the Moto-Lube Fourways branch for a quote, they quoted R390, and when asked about fitting, they said "no charge if we make the plates". I feel cheated and the victim of opportunism. This is plain dishonesty! I've emailed the Moto-lube head office, left phone messages for Grant and/or Natasha Botha, but never received the courtesy of a response.
