100% Lexus service

I brought my car in for a service the other day, which was fairly normal. What wasn't normal, however, was that after the service, I had a problem with the servo in my left wing-mirror. Pretty confusing, and even more annoying.

So, I brought it back to Lexus. After a diagnostic (or something) I was told that the entire mirror needed to be replaced, even though it was just a cam/servo that was broken. AT R4k a mirror, that's not exactly the news I wanted...

But, that's when Franco the service tech got involved and came up with a solution, whereby (against protocol) he could use working parts from damaged mirrors to get mine working again. He didn't make any promises, but said he'd do his best. Which he did. And he fixed it. In about an hour. For free.

Amazing. And from a guy who is not paid to make nicey-nicey with clients, but did it anyway.

This is the kind of service I've grown to expect from Lexus. It's because of this kind of service that I recommend Lexus to all and sundry. It's because of this kind of service that I don't drive a f? $%ing BMW...
