Dishonest Business Practices

Purchased a vehicle in 2010 from Auto Pedigree. The vehicle did not have a service book & we were assured that the AA had tested it & we would receive it when they found it. Fast forward 4 months later we were sent a copy of the banking agreement but NO Service Book. The Vehicle did about 40 000Km's then the engine failed.

We attempted to find a warranty amongst the documents they sent us and found a piece of paper detailing that the vehicle engine was faulty and it had been overhauled. This was NEVER declared when we purchased the vehicle. The service book remains missing to this very day and the branch closed it's doors. Spoke to the C.O.O Hans Strydom and he believes that by them sending us a piece of paper at the back of the banking agreement literally 5 months later qualifies it as being declared. Which person would purchase a vehicle that has been in for ENGINE repairs 3 times?

We now sit with a vehicle that does not work and still pay over R3k a month. We suspect the vehicle was involved in an accident and this too was never declared. Auto Pedigree are dishonest and are looking to make a buck off innocent people. I cannot fathom how unethical companies like this exist!
