I got my car back from Renew-It Randburg on 14/12/2012. It needed repairs on the boot and bumper, but there was a terrible noise coming from the front of the car. I complained to Renew-It Randburg and booked my vehicle in at Northgate Tyres on 18/12, but my front left wheel came off while driving at speed on the N3 highway before I got there! The repair centre confirmed that the noise was not my CV joint as originally assumed, but loose wheel-nuts! The front right wheel was also loose, but had remained on the vehicle. After fighting with Renew-It Randburg and pointing out that the tail-lights weren't working either, they agreed to repair the vehicle at no charge. I've just got my car back (19/12/2013) and took it straight back to Northgate to check the balancing & alignment only to find that the front left wheel-nuts were loose again and could be loosened without any tools.
These people are playing with people's lives and should be shut down! Luckily, nobody was hurt, but there could have been fatal consequences when the wheel came off my car the first time. I really can't believe they returned it to me a 2nd time with loose wheel-nuts!
