Bought a demo Toyota Auris TRD 2012 Model on the 19th December 2012 ( -3500km on the clock). Approximately 2-3months later I had to replace clutch and was told that it was my fault that the clutch got damaged! What! I use the car for work & CANNOT risk abusing it - how the does a clutch give up in a few months?! I dont race or drive incorrectly! Had to pay for a new clutch. This was the newest and most expensive vehicle I owned and I chose Toyota over Opel (having owned a reliable Corsa 1.4 Sport as my previous car) as I thought I would be buying Japanese quality, perfection, performance and pure reliability - boy was I mistaken! Car is even developing surface rust now! The car lags extremely on take off and is not what I expected from a -once- reliable and trustworthy brand! The FTM gave me a whole lot of BS abt the lag & rust! I bought Toyota because of predictability (my 1st car was Toyota) & now Im stuck with a TuRD!
I went for a Citroen Drive Experience on Saturday (my wife was invited as she owns a DS3)-had the time of my life testing all models of Citroen-ON A TOYOTA TRACK!
LOOKING TO SELL MY JUNK AURIS TRD & BUY A CITROEN NOW! I have lost faith in the Toyota!
