On Sat, after the Ironkids event, friends of ours and us wanted to spoil our daughters with a meal at the Spur. We chose the Boardwalk Spur beacause they have a play area available and the 2 girls were still very much pumped up on adrenaline. They both have only recently turned 8, my daughter being the slightly younger of the 2 but she was denied access to the play area as she exceeded the height requirement of 1.2m. Her friend being 2 fingers shorter was allowed in.
I cannot understand how an 8 yr old is expected to engage in Playstation games only for entertainment and why THIS Spur had decided to put a height restriction on their play area and not an age restriction? This really makes your "family" restaurant very unsuitable for families with taller children aged 8 - 10.
We frequent the other branches in PE with play areas and have never had this problem.
