We have recently relocated to a suburb close to Mall@Carnival and decided to try The Fish & Chips Co. as our regular fish and chips shop is now 16km away. Firstly, we wanted to order the R29 Fish and Chips special as well as russians and was told that they don't serve the fish specified in the ad, you have to pay an extra R13 per portion for their "fish of the day" Hake fillet. Well, decided to pay the extra. When I got home I was disgusted with the quality of the food. It is not at all freshly prepared! The chips gets scooped from a warmer, it is hard, dry and totally inedible. The "Hake" was left to dry before cooking, the whole skin with dough covering curled off the fish, and the russians were definitely not fried in hot oil. It looked as if it was wiped down with cold oil.! The meal cost me R160 and we had to throw it all away. I will never, ever buy anything from them again. Sies man!
