My son was hijacked by a new customer that had placed an order. There were three if them waiting for him outside the address given and held him up at gunpoint. They took all his personal belongings, including house keys, gate remote and unfortunately he had his mail in the car, so the has our address too. They pulled him out the car, pointed the gun at him and told him to walk and not look back. He waited until they drove off with the car and alerted the occupant of the house whose address they had given and the police was alerted. No call from the company was received to enquire as to my son's well being. When I called Mariska who is the general manager, she told me that me that they usually tell the drivers to not tell the insurance company (who obviously did not honor the claim as the car was being used for work) that they were delivering for Butlers, of course she now denies saying this. Which should give you an idea as to their ethics. We are now left with having to source R39 700 to fix the car. And after having met with Robert (who had given R3000) for the key (for this I am grateful), my request for further financial assistance is being eluded.
