At our meal stop in Montrose last night (13 October2013) at 18:00, I went to Mugg and Bean to get a cappuccino and a chicken and mushroom quiche. The guy at the till who took my order (didn't't have a name tag) took the quiche out of the display with his bare hands, i found that quite strange but didn't say anything. I came back for my order and when i checked the brown bag, the quiche was just put in there with no other packaging as it usually is. I went to Ineke FOH and asked why it was not placed the usual plastic sleeve and she rudely told me that it is only the "freshly baked" ones that are placed in the plastic sleeve and then in the brown bags. I'm assuming mine was stale. She handed the bag to another lady to "just put this in the plastic sleeve" and continued with her own business. The lady tasked also took the quiche with bare hands and put it in the sleeve, this time I asked whether this was common practise and Ineke rudely said yes and that they wash their hands every 5minutes at the back but from the time i placed my order to pick up which was more than 15minutes they didn't go to the back. I am very disappointed and disgusted at the service i got and will never buy there again
