Myself & 2 friends went to Sunninghill today for a late Sunday lunch. We saw that a new Adega had opened there, and as we frequent the Bryanston one, we thought we'd give this new one a try. We saw that there was a buffet on, & asked the waiters & managers whether or not it would be replenished & if we may still have the buffet. After about 15 minutes back & forth, they said that they would indeed be filling the buffet. After waiting longer than usual for our drinks, 2 of us had the buffet and then the last person ordered off the menu. Not only were the plates at the buffet stand DIRTY, the sushi tasted old, the rice was actually HARD & the prawns were not up to Adega standard. The 'fillet' trinchado main that was ordered, was definitely rump when it came, which all 3 of us tasted & agreed to! The manager/owner Freddie then came to us & immediately started arguing that we didn't know what we were talking about. He said it was our fault the rice was hard as we "forced" them to keep the buffet open. We did no such thing, we ASKED if it would open to us still. He then got AGGRESSIVE with me (a female) & shouted at me that that I was wrong. It was the most SHOCKING experience ever!!
