Standard Bank is worst bank in SA

On fetching a cheque at the branch, I was told by Ms Leanne Gordon that there was no book even though I had ordered one. They no longer automatically replace cheque books. This person had told me the exact same thing on a previous occassion and it was when I insisted a supervisor be called that the chequebook was found in the self same filing cabinets where Ms Gordon had been unable to find it. This time I asked for another supervisor who refused to check the filing cabinets and sat glued to a computer screen and informed me that I had last collected a cheque book in 2011. Utter rubbish. I was told that cheque books are shredded if they are not collected in 3 months. Now I am waiting for a cheque book that is desperately needed.
there was also with my credit card. When I logged in to use the Internet banking service, I typed in my card number which informed me that my card was block. The man at the helpline insisted I had done this. There was a block on the card and if I wanted to lift it, any expenses as a result of possible would be for my account. To try and speak to a helpline is a total waste of time and conflicting information is the rule. The worst bank in SA.
