Bending over backwards NOT to pay out a claim

I put in a claim for damage to my swimming pool and TV. Swimming pool was hit by hail and TV hit by lightning. After assessment by their competent persons I was told that my TV would only cost R547.20 to fix and therefore I should get into contact with their competent person and fix it myself as my excess is R1250. After contacting those people I was told that my tv is actually unviable to repair and needs to be replaced and that the amount quoted was actually for giving a quote to Outsurance. It is now taking a week just to get a price from their suppliers to replace my tv and every time I phone my claim is locked and somebody is working on it. Even after speaking to one of the supervisors my claim is still locked and can't be accessed!!! I am bending over backwards not to through a hissy fit at this stage :-(
