Good morning, my report is not really a complaint or compliment but rather a method to try to get an answer regarding my current status. I have resigned from my current employer - the value of my provident fund is 150k - which will be paid out within 2 - 6 weeks after resignation date (28th of Feb 2013). I have chosen the withdrawal option and are anyway going to get all my funds within the next 2 - 6 weeks. My question is: IS there NO way that I could obtain some of my funds (say 50%) at this stage as I want to settle debt but the creditor cannot wait any longer and want to take action if not paid by tomorrow? Could I address this to the fund administrator? I have proof of the debt and will provide on request. Please ABSA help me with this.
