Good morning, I had a claim due to a water leak, floors in the one bedroom was only replaced. my Zink cupboard in the kitchen was badly damaged also due to the water leak. I reported the incident. which happened on the 30/12/13.The cupboard people that was supposed to replace the zink had so many stories. On 27/01/14 they came to do the so called installation in my kitchen, upon which they found more damage. They explained to me that if any other damage was found they supposed to stop working, do a revised quote to the insurance, so nothing was done that day. Question why wasn't this damage picked up before? I spoke to the insurance 28/01/14 and the advisor said that payment could be made directly to myself as soon as a revised quote from the cupboard people was recieved. I agreed that I will take the money and have this fixed. On 29/01/14 a conference call was done btw me the insurer and the cupboard people. The insurer quoted R15500.00 on the day, but first needed to pay the cupboard people for materials used-skeleton of the cupboard andtop. On 31/01/14 the insurer phoned stating only R4800.00 was due to me. R10700 for a skeleton cupboard and top?
