On the 13 November I lodge a claim with ABSA Home Insurance of a pool filter that has broken. An assessor went out on the Friday and since then I received no feedback whether the claim was successful. In the meantime my pool has turned green. The claim no 2479408 with claims department contact no 0860302011 was sms'd to me..I tried numerous times to call the no and hanged onto a voice recording answering at times to about 15 minutes.. for days I tried and finally on the 2.2'nd of November I decided to call their headoffice..I was promised that a consultant will return my call... still waiting. This morning I tried to call their action line and once again hanged on for 7 minutes. Firstly It's my duty to call and ask for a feedback... I certainly don't have the money for airtime to hang on for long periods of time.. I decided to get a pool company to replace the filter... as the pool was too green... as a result of the non response / bad communication and service from ABSA I had to make a decision to buy the filter... Why do I have Insurance if the service whether the claim was repudiated or accepted takes so long... I can't wait to stop my insurance and Bond with ABSA... USELESS!!
