Debited Twice in one month

On the 24 Jan I got an SMS stating my vehicle fince debit order went through (account balance confirmed) on the 25th Jan 2013 I get another SMS to warn me that debit order will go through I must fund my account.on the morning of the 26th Jan 2013 I get another SMS to say that the debit order was returned unpaid this was the followed by calls from AVAF which requested the arrears amount of R2400 to be paid, my monthly installment is R2987.69, apparently the amount in question is for the insurance (Auto and General) which apparently was not paid, I paid my December premium on the 23rd of November with Virgin Money and changed to a new insurance company for Jan 2013, the bank claims that they paid auto and Gen on the 5th of Jan, but when I call auto and Gen they know nothing about the banks claim,

Somehow I suspected that the insurance could be scamming me but after absa went and debited my account twice and claims not to know nothing about it, I am certain that absa is the one pulling the fast one on me

All this failed D0 attracts charges on my Cheque account (R139/nonIhonouref) this is why I am closing my current account first thing on Monday *debit many times to create penalty
