I purchased a coupon for a meal voucher four people at La Vie. Due to timing the people I intended to take are now abroad for a few months on business. As such, I called Groupon and spoke to Cara regarding a refund and cancellation of coupon. She promised to respond by that Monday but as of today (Thursday) nobody has contacted me. It seems to me that the call centre staff are trained to provide excuses for not accepting a return. For example, Cara asked me if I wished to rather give it to someone as a gift. This practice is untoward and not in the spirit of our SA consumer act.
