I was advised late December that the couch ordered (that was scheduled for completion only end of January - so thank you for the fast manufacturing/sourcing) is ready for delivery. Final payment was made and the delivery was scheduled for Monday, 30 December. Since I am currently on holiday, I left house keys with a friend that was to receive the order, and provided all the contact details of said friend. A SMS was sent yesterday, 28 December, tot the friends cellphone, advising him that the delivery will be taking place, today, Sunday, 30 December, between 15:00 and 18:00. He went to my apartment and sat and waited for 3 hours for the delivery. At six, there was still no delivery, nor a courtesy phonecall from the driver to advise that the delivery will not be taking place.
I am flying back to Gauteng on Monday evening, and since I cannot expect said friend to go and sit at my apartment for another 3 hours and risk a no show for delivery - please re-arrange delivery for FIRST THING Tuesday morning.
Confirmation of the re-arranged delivery times can be communicated via SMS or email once finalised.
