I happened to weigh out a piece of butter to bake with and doubtful that it was correct because it looked very small, I took an unopened '500g' brick of Chrystal Valley butter to make a relative comparison. To my dismay, it only weighed 434g. I had bought two bricks on 'special' at Checkers, Metlife Plaza, Port Elizabeth. I then thought it strange and weighed the 2nd brick, which weighed only 423g! I realize it was a special, but I am being told the brick weighs 500g according to the wrapping. This is false advertising and needs to be addressed by the powers that be. Not all consumers are taking the financial crunch lying down. We ALL work hard for every sent and do not need to be ripped off by the 'corporate giants' or bullies, as far as I am concerned. I have furnished the Supplier's name as CHRYSTAL VALLEY/SHOPRITE CHECKERS as the packing says 'Specially packed for SHOPRITE CHECKERS (PTY) LTD', with CHRYSTAL VALLEY being the producer.
