My mother and I have had accounts with Edgars for more than 30 years. Recently, they started a new system on their accounts, and it is next to impossible to communicate with anyone when there is a query. They never reassess their account instalments, and even if you only owe them R20 they still want a payment of R400. If you buy and item for R50, your instalment the next month increases by R50, you may as well buy for cash. This the reason my mother is closing her account, and I'm sure I will soon follow in her foot steps. It's become too stressful to buy the smallest item, as you know that there will be a huge increase in your instalment.
