Lack of communication and false advertising

On the 12th of september I applied online for a foschini account. On the portal it says that the process takes less than 48 hours. After 2days without any response I called in and I was told im still in the queue for them to call my employer. Its the 7th day today and im no longer interested. I called in at half past 3 this afternoon and was greeted by a voicemail telling me that they only operate from 8am to 6pm, and that I should call in again tommorow within their working hours, I dont understand maybe they are using a different time zone as it was 3:30 pm.

1. Stop promising service you wont deliver, does it take 7 days to contact my employer? if so dont tell people that it takes 48 hours.

2. I dont want the account anymore, how on earth am I supposed to cancel the application if I cant get through to anyone, especially if no one bothers to shed light on what is happening.. next thing theyl be telling me that I owe when I dont even know what is happening with the application.
