Over the last year I have received a weekly sms and a weekly email from this company for debt incurred with a company called ICG (which I have never heard of, nor ever had an account with though according to MBDLC I took out a loan at some point in history). After repeated calls (and cost incurred to me for such calls) requesting ANY documentation to verify this claim from this company I have NEVER had any documentation from MBDLC to support their claim. Very odd since they can email me weekly.
Funnily their email says they will give me a discount if I pay the required amount (surely this is not normal/ maybe the methodology is to continually harass people for non existent debt so that they will become exasperated enough to actually pay the discounted claim? Perhaps this is just a little?)
Herewith my notice to MBDLC that should this harassment continue without your PROOF OF DEBT (the original CONTRACT which reflects MY SIGNATURE and WITNESSES SIGNATURES, I will begin harassment proceedings specifically pertaining (but not limited to) to: Debt Collectors Act 1998 Section 19 (4), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 1977 Sec 809 & Sec 813.
