Relating to a dispute over payments made through the internet banking service, I require a 18 month history of payments made to a specific beneficiary. Internet banking does not provide a history further than 12 months back and after going into the bank I was informed I will need to put in a request for statements for the 6 outstanding months and pay R20 per statement page for 6 months with no option to filter just the beneficiary information needed. I am constantly disappointed with the lack of any type of service. I have been banking with Standard Bank for over 15 years and cant believe that a bank that promises service can not provide a simple service without its clients. Other banks provide this service free of charge up to 5 years. Please can someone explain to me how a bank that charges some of the highest banking fees provides so little service?
