I had a cheque account with an overdraft at standard bank for 30 years and then closed my account in 2010. On 27th of october 2013 i got a call from S Reeves& Associates to say standard bank handed me over to them and that i owed them R2334.85, i personally spoke to someone at the bank and this lady promised me she will sort out my query, i have also sent numerous e-mails to their complaints centre with no feedback. all i want to know is how did they get to that amount and why there were no correspondence to me about this in 3 years. I dont owe them anything. They owe me some money because i have overpaid them, i just want someone to get back to me, Why are they ignoring my query now for the last 4 months? I am also being threatened with legal action.
