After receiving the Samsung Galaxy S4 phone on promotion that did not arrive with the expected Cell C contract, I re-read the deceptive terms and conditions which reference the Cell C contract on multiple occasions, it seems as though existing FNB customers are not good enough to qualify for this contract. Because of this, I would like to return the phone which, without the Cell C contract, is no special offer.

I have had the phone less than 24 hours and according the call center, I cannot return it. After consultation, the agent tells me I can return it at a cost of R1600! According to the Consumer Protection Act: the consumer may return goods to the supplier, and receive a full refund of any consideration paid for those goods, if the supplier has delivered goods that the consumer did not have an opportunity to examine before delivery.

Not good enough FNB. It seems one can only get good service by switching banks over and over again!
