We booked flights to fly with Etihad from Johannesburg to Phuket departing JHB on 04 June 2013 and our return flight departing Phuket on 12 June 2013. I have now received an e-mail from Etihad stating that my departure flight from Phuket has been cancelled but my connecting flight in Bangkok is still scheduled. I am disgusted by the lack of thought or consequences by Etihad. How am I now supposed to get from Phuket to Bangkok? No mention of a refund or even an alternative solution. I cannot believe that they can just cancel flights in this manner!! This is my honeymoon, and my work leave, accomodation, hotel transfers and airport are all booked around our flights. I now have to suffer the inconvenience of attempting to make alternative arrangements at this late hour. Calling their call centre is a nightmare, after about 20 tries and each time being disconnected I managed to get through to an agent. The agent Pamela told me there was a scheduling change, and she would try working on our booking and get back to me by the end of the day. No apology, no plausable explanation for the change, nothing! I now just have to wait for her to e-mail me. Shocking service to say the least!!
