My mom bought me a pack of boxers as a gift yesterday, and she didn't know exactly what size i was wearing. The size was to big. Today, a day later I went to Truworths in Kolonnade where it was bought to exchange it for a smaller size. It is still tagged together in a 3 pack. I went to the store today, a day later after it was bought for me, and was refused it to be exchanged. I understand that it is a hygiene risk to exchange underwear as the supervisor stated. He told me that it's also policy for the consultant to ask a customer if he or she is sure that it is the correct size the person is wearing.. Does my mom wear men's briefs? He states if a customer is not sure of the size it is not allowed to be sold to a customer. The Supervisor told me that a customer can go fit it in the fitting room if not sure if it was the correct size but only over the customers own underwear. Is he checking if it is done over clothing? Isn't this also a hygiene risk? This is his reason why I can not exchange for a smaller size as my Mom did not try it on to make sure it will fit me. What a 4king joke, .And the supervisor advice's me to wait for a year to try and wear it and to see if it may.
