Chocolate has turned white before its time

I Purchased an INSIDE STORY chocolate from our vending machine at work for R8 on 25.09.2013. As per the packaging, this chocolate should have only expired on the 08/03/2014. But when this chocolate was opened, it was found that the chocolate had a coating of white in the front and specs of white patches at the back.

this is really disgusting.
