I bought mascara at the Waterstone branch, but at home realised I had bought the wrong shade. I returned to the same branch with the till slip to exchange it, but was refused point blank because according to them I had damaged the packaging. (I took a photograph of the packaging and will be happy to submit it for inspection.) This is extremely bad service from a company who supposedly makes 'the difference'. It left a bad taste in the mouth of a loyal customer and I doubt I will return. The recent store makeover means nothing if this is the attitude of employees.
