I have to say I am very disappointed with the Spar down the road from me (no longer my Spar).
With the whole Mandela day and 67 minutes, me with a friend and work ladies decided we want to do something for the community, "we will make sandwiches for the kids of Diepsloot", so with a limited budget I went to the Spar and spoke to Pat Tarr and asked if it would be possible for any assistance in our quest, she said she will help by giving a discount, I said thank you and went to go get bread and other necessary ingredients. At the till I asked for the person that I was to request to assist me, another person came to assist with the discount. Thank you very much Spar but next time rather say sorry we can't help you, by giving me a R11.87 discount on a R421.87 bill was more of an insult than anything else and the more I think of it the more disgusted I am. I spend thousands of rands there every month, thanks for the assistance! But you know what Broadacres Spar for our 67minutes we fed just under a 100 children today with no real thanks to you, what did you do for Mandela day? It was definitely not to help a loyal customer.
