My husband and I went to see John Cleese at Montecasino yesterday evening - fab show!
We went early to have a late lunch/early dinner. Our favourite restaurant was being serenaded by two guitarists who were playing so loud in an effort to drown out the other three sets of music/musicians in their vicinity. It made no difference if we sat inside or 'outside' the restaurant the noise was just overbearing. We walked around the complex looking for a quieter spot (the take away zone is not an option) but to no avail, there was not one restaurant offering one or no item of music - all were being bombarded by at least three at the same time. We love music but with a single musician/group or soundtrack. We will of course in future eat elsewhere.
Montecasino does not invite public comment on their website. I did call a general number this morning but the friendly young lady had no idea where to direct my call. She did try both the Entertainment and Marketing managers offices (2X) but there was no response and I eventually gave up.
