Upon buying my house I noticed a leak in the roof over the lounge due to ceiling board stains & water damaged cornicing. It was agreed in writing in the OTP to inspect the entire roof & carry out necessary repairs as a condition of sale. Unfortunately the only way to identify whether the repairs were carried out efficiently is to wait for a substantial downpour and see if the roof leaks. The first rains (light rains) arrived after repairs were claimed to have been carried out & guess what? The roof leaked. I contacted the estate agent who sent their supplier out to have his work repaired whereafter the roof again leaked during the rains. I continued hackling the agent insisting that the repairs were not adequately carried out to an answer that I must contact the supplier to come and repair the work. I did this & the man refused to come out as he gave them two quotes initially & it was agreed to go for the lesser amount of the two quotes. I have since been fighting only to be told that I must seek legal action & they have washed their hands of the issue. We still sit with a leaking roof. I would not recommend Chas Everitt at all in Ranburg. Poor service & breach of contract.
