I moved into a unit at Jackal Creek. The unit was filthy and not cleaned when I moved in. Carpets had stains, bulbs were not replaced and overall state was unacceptable. No complaints were made by myself the tenant, in good faith. Upon giving 20 days notice of vacating the flat (as required by the Consumer Protection Act), my deposit of R4400 was forfeited. They asked me to cover the balance of R1200 for cleaning the unit and replace light bulbs (the same was not done for me upon my arrival). A response was given 4 months later from the agent concerned and now they want to blacklist if I do not pay. This is a breach of the Consumer Protection Act. Do not deal with these agents. They are liars, offer the worst possible service and are hypocrites. I cannot pay for a service that has not been rendered to me. My matter was treated in a disrespectful and totally unfair manner. I advise all further possible clients to steer clear from these individuals and their pathetic service. Be very weary when dealing with such.
