Maintenance was performed on the railway crossing which has actually made it worse. It was level before the maintenance and it was possible to drive straight across at moderate speed without stopping. Now, you either need a 4X4 or you have to stop and cross extremely slowly or risk damaging your vehicle.
This situation makes it dangerous as there is now a risk of stalling your vehicle while negotiating the hills and valleys on the crossing. The one side is so bad that motorists are forced to use a single side and must stand in line waiting for each other to pass.
I have already replaced the entire front suspension of my car because of the extra wear and tear caused by this crossing.
