No delivery, but proof of subscription

I am not receiving my "Your Family" magazine. This was a gift from my sister. I have an e-mail dated 05-04-13 stating that my subscription will run from September 2013 to August 2014 but have not received. When I queried I was told that they do not have proof of payment. When I asked about the e-mail I was told that this is a "computer generated" e-mail, they do not know where it came from. What pathetic service. Surely SOMEBODY must have checked and verified before the e-mail could be sent.
